I’m a content designer, manager, marketer, and author based in the San Francisco Bay area.
When content and design works people instantly understand and know what to do, they just feel it. They don’t have to think. In fact, they don’t even know it’s happening.
Because it’s not about me. It’s not about how clever or smart I am, or how good I am at my job. Instead, it’s all about the user. Did they accomplish their goal? Did I make someone’s life easier? Did I play a part in a person doing the best work of his or her career? When the answer to these questions is “yes,” I’ve done my job.

About me
I’m a senior content designer with extensive managerial, marketing, and UX writing experience, including more than twenty years of working with major brands to tell their stories in ways that connect with users and consumers.
I’ve worked for the last ten+ years in tech on the West Coast, including more than nine years at Meta. I now work at TikTok.
Before my tenure in tech, I worked for 15 years in marketing on the East Coast for major New York trade publishers. My last position in publishing was as a Vice President for Penguin Random House.
I am also a published author of fiction and non-fiction, and I own my own small publishing company, J-Card Press.
