Publishing

Before my time in big tech, I worked in publishing. This included two companies on the East Coast—Penguin Random House and Macmillan—and Byliner, a digital reading startup here in California. At Penguin Random House I managed a team of thirteen people and oversaw a million dollar budget. When I left, I was a vice president. At Macmillan I oversaw a team of five and launched the company’s first corporate website.

Below are just a few examples of my work at some of these companies.

I’m also the author of several books. My most recent is Math Rock. Published by Bloomsbury as part of their 33 1/3 series Genre, the book takes a look at the global musical phenomenon known as math rock.
